Koopmans Butter Cake Mix 400g / Boterkoek
Make a delicious Dutch treat with Koopmans Boterkoek. Koopmans Butter Cake is authentically buttery and creamy in taste.
Receipe:
- 1 pack of Koopmans butter cake
- 200 g butter (room temperature)
- 1 beaten egg (room temperature)
- Springform cake tin with a diameter of 24 cm
- Electric mixer with dough hooks
- Preheat oven approximately 200 degrees. (180°C fan-forced).
Method:
- Grease the spring form with butter/ margarine/baking spray
- Use an electric mixer with dough hooks to beat the butter and add the mix and two thirds of the beaten egg.
- Knead until just combined and a soft dough forms .
- Transfer the dough into the cake tin. Press the dough with the back of a wet spoon in to the springform cake tin and smooth top.
- Brush the dough with the rest of the beaten egg.
- Draw a slanting lines in the dough with a fork to create a diamond pattern.
- Bake the butter cake in the middle of the oven for about 25 minutes until cooked and golden brown.
- Allow the butter cake to cool for about 1 hour before removing the cake tin
Tip: add some chopped apple to the mixture
