Traditionally, pickling was used as a way of making sure certain foods were available throughout the year, such as during winter, or on a long journey, especially by sea.
Freshly picked, extremely vibrant in color, very crisp & appetizing marinated vegetables delicious in lots of ways: served as hors d’oeuvres, in salads, with cocktails, added to pasta dishes, crudité platters, used as plate garnishes or enjoyed right out of the jar as a snack. Used them chopped in your favorite sauces recipes.
Ingredients: gherkins, water, salt, sugar, acetic acid, spices(bay leaf, black pepper, hot pepper, garlic, red pepper, dillweed oil).
